Such a publication may well be the only surviving source for this information.

Arranged in alphabetical order of the station name, the information provided is listed in three columns: station, railway and meaning of name. Find out which railway stations have been named after local families in the region, or rivers and creek. There are others named after eminent personalities, as well as those named after a turtle and another after a pidgeon. A small book, but it is interesting reading.
