"The Bonnetmakers & Dyers were, in 1760, united into one Incorporation, and were received by the Trades' House as such in that year.

Prior to that, the Bonnetmakers existed as a separate Corporation, and was an independent craft as early as 1592."A rare chance to find information relating to this very specific trade. The book was published mainly for the benefit of the trade's community. Transcriptions of all three charters - 1597, 1760, 1801 - can be found, along with the Incorporation's bye-laws and regulations.

The Historical Memoranda has sections on the minute books, trade enactments, entry money and fines, the annual dinner, educational endowments, corporation duty and more. Name lists include clerks (1611 to 1904), deacons (1604 to 1904), and members (1866 to 1904). (Published in 1905)
