An index of over 31,000 names from baptism, marriage and burial records from the original church registers in Ballarat, Creswick and Bacchus Marsh. The areas covered are Ballarat, Creswick, Ararat, Maryborough, Daylesford and Bacchus Marsh.Addresses for the source of the original records are included in the help file. Researchers may request an original copy of extract from the original record holder.
The baptism and marriage records range from 1800s to 1930, and the burial cover the period from mid 1800s through to the 1990s.
The CD comes with both Win 95, and Win 98 setup files, but is suitable for use on all versions of Windows. Installation is simple with on-screen directions. Searching may be done by surname, given names, date or place. Records can be printed out or exported to a disk.
