The building of this prestigious school in Perthshire started in 1842 but it was five years before it opened its doors to the initial group of 14 boys. The first edition of the register was published in 1889 and was updated in 1929.
The establishment is known as Trinity College and its primary remit was to 'found in a central part of Scotland a college which may receive youths from 8 to 18 years of age; and also afford a sound Clerical Education to young men destined for Holy Orders.
