Encompassing both Toowoomba and Warwick in this history, there are details of the Aborigines, early settlement, pioneers, schools, sports, churches, industries. Information is also recorded on the geology of the region, animals, flora and fauna, pastoralists, bushranging, German immigration as well as expanded sections on the various early families.

There are many photographs throughout the book, as are advertisements for local businesses of the time. This is a valuable record for those who are interested in the area, or who have connections to this part of Queensland.
