Australia From a Woman’s Point of View is a humourous book, in light of today's society, by the very conservative, Miss Jessie Ackermann, a missionary for the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, who visited Australia four times. It was published in 1913 to present and describe the new role women were gaining in Australian society.
It was the first book published by a woman that concentrated on Australian women, women's suffrage and their new found citizenship, including the right to vote, but not equal pay, with men.
It briefly describes different areas which changed for women, including: political settings, religious, industrial, social and home settings.
