The Society provides an important service to members whereby we borrow, for members’ use, microfilms of original records from the vast collection held by the LDS (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).

Arrangements mirror those used by most LDS Family History Centres. Briefly they are:

Users view the LDS catalogue (available at the GSV and on the Internet via www.familysearch.org) to identify the film(s) of interest, enter the necessary information on the appropriate form, and pay a fee of $7.90 per film
Please enter film number carefully as there will be no refund for errors
When the films are received the member will be advised by phone, email or mail, and be invited to set a date and time to reserve a film reader to view them (note that they may be viewed only in the GSV library)
Films will be held at the GSV for four weeks only, then returned
While there is no official limit to the number of films which may be ordered at one time please be mindful that they may all arrive at the same time and there may be insufficient time to view them

You can order one or two films on this form, if you wish to order more please complete a another order form. When you 'Buy' the film order change the amount to the number of films you are ordering.

Non-members of the Society can also use this service but will be required to pay a Daily Member Fee (currently $18.00)
